I’m just joshin ya, but honestly finding a new hobby-turned-passion was MUCH needed.

After releasing my latest (music) album in august of 2024, I felt somewhat fatigued from music. Not gonna lie, it was a weird and unsettling feeling, considering music has been something embedded in my life from even before I was born.

I knew my passion and love for it would circle back, but ultimately I just wanted to step into something different that felt fresh, or something where I could embrace and enjoy the process of learning.

It feels like my curiosity is a dog on a leash, and diving into the world of photography was me letting my curiosity off the leash to roam and be excited. And after all, it feels nice to be a wide eyed kid asking questions and googling answers again.

If you’re a camera nerd (hmu to chat lol) I’m using a Canon 40D and a Powershot A40.

For the non-camera people, I’m using a semi-professional camera sometimes, but mostly a point-and-shoot digital camera that is literally almost as old as me (it was released in 2002).

For me it’s not about using the latest and greatest camera. It’s about refining my perspective and finding the beauty in angles, techniques, colors, lighting, and eventually editing.
